Yesterday my broke down on beautiful Minjerriba, an island off the coast of Brisbane. Called RACQ (road assist) & as they had no available services on the island on the weekend, I was told we’d have to wait til Monday for assistance 🤯. we needed to return home to Brisbane on Sunday night. We tried to see if ChatGPT could help diagnose the problem and got a pretty good answer and some tips. After some tinkering we managed to get the car going again, well enough to make the ferry and get back to Brisbane (limping home w automatic transmission stuck in second or third gear). The car will need repairs at mechanics but I am v pleased that the ChatGPT answer helped get us home and saved the $500 plus fee I’d have incurred to have the car towed home from the island. Google search also brought up some good info on how to fix the problem but it would have taken longer to sift through the many results & try different options #ChatGPT #carproblems #mechanics #ChatGPTvsGoogle
