Messed around with CheatEngine to give myself max level and some money in Sword of Vermilion..took a bit of digging but now I'm basically indestructible! ..Not that I'm actually gonna replay it, lol

OK, #gamingOnLinux has been so much fun. I've been playing Assassins Creed Origins, and tonight I installed scanmem into a Nix-shell. I then ssh'd to my #nixos machine and remotely ran scanmem, eventually finding the right memory addresses for money and iron ore. No more alt-tabbing out and in to the game to access CheatEngine on Windows for me!

Upgrades for my character all around!

#CheatEngine, while it installed via #Lutris just fine, could not see the Proton running game via Steam, thus my attempt at the CLI app #scanmem. So glad I tried this out.

Disclaimer: only cheat on your own, single player games. No one likes cheaters online.

Finished the complete NOD campaign of Command & Conquer (win95 edition) using some CheatEngine hacks I made yesterday.

Pretty fun and chaotic stuff, with some restarts and hack-tweaking when the game crashed too much :D
