I caved when I saw #StudioSeries #riseofthebeasts #OptimusPrimal in video reviews and decided to collect the entire RotB #Maximal cast in SS form. Just got #Airazor (voiced by #MichelleYeoh) and will only display her in #beastmode, since that's the only mode we saw in the #movie
I've got #Rhinox and #OptimusPrimal on pre-order to fill out the cast.

As a #BeastWars fan, I am APPALLED...at how much fun I had with #Transformers #RiseoftheBeasts! Overall a fantastic entry to the franchise and certainly one of the best.
Yes, I'm disappointed #Cheetor (and #Rhinox, too) didn't have larger roles to match #OptimusPrimal or #Airazor's, but I'm satisfied with what I got. I also liked #Nightbird and surprisingly liked #Battletrap.
Gimme more beasts!

I caught a glimpse of #Cheetor's classic robot mode design aesthetic in one of the #Transformers #riseofthebeasts TV ads mid-transformation, showing the #cheetah head in the middle of the robot chest.
I absolutely love that little detail!

25 followers · 372 posts · Server retro.pizzaI feel like #Cheetor was the perfect surrogate for kids watching #BeastWars. He was the #Maximals' resident teenager: cool, cocky, and overconfident, but had his heart in the right place and looked up to the adults (#OptimusPrimal and #Tigatron).
We saw him "grow up" as the show progressed (marked neatly by his #transmetal evolutions). Then, in #BeastMachines, he took up responsibility for the team and grew into a respectable leader when Optimus lost himself.

I share concerns with many fans about the state of #Transformers #RiseoftheBeasts. I'm going in cautiously optimistic for the movie in general, but I can't help myself that we're getting a #BeastWars movie.
8-year-old me would be having an absolute FIELD DAY to see #Cheetor get the #liveaction (-ish) treatment.

Can't speak for what the show did with #Rattrap and #Rhinox, though.

Okay, I'm in a bit of a #Transformers #BeastWars #Cheetor phase right now, so forgive me. Decided to sketch some cartoony portrait head studies examining his evolving design throughout the years, from the classic show to #BeastMachines and, finally, a composite design for #riseofthebeasts using the toy and a blurry, zoomed-in screencap from the teaser.
I can definitely see some of the inspirations the movie used in its design...

Looking forward to getting TM #Megatron, TM #Blackarachnia, TM #Tarantulas, TM2 #Dinobot, and especially TM2 #Cheetor from #TransArt. It'll be dope to have all 3 Cheetor forms from BW in #Masterpiece scale.
Of course, I'm gonna need to figure out how it's all gonna be displayed...but that's a problem for Future Orion.

So the Studio Series #Cheetor figure for #transformers #riseofthebeasts has been leaked online, giving us a first look at his screen-accurate robot mode.
...and I don't know. I'm not in love with the head sculpt. It's too reminiscent of RotB #OptimusPrimal's with the face mask and doesn't really resemble any of Cheetor's cartoon portraits. (Also, no cheetah head in his chest? Boo!)
I'm still getting this figure plus the eventual MPM release, but man...
