i got to spike the ball... the plant i run at the chemical manufacturing site where i work was $190k unfavorable in raw material utilization the month i took it over (it was given to me mid-may). last month i had it down to less than $80k unfavorability. this month it's on track to be $30k FAVORABLE.

in a month-and-a-half I've recouped enough expense to pay me for two years.
