Cancer drugs are in short supply. Manufacturing in foreign countries with poor quality control is dumb. Inspectors halted production and alternatives had to be found. One of the stranger side effects of #chemo has been the quantity of vivid #dreams I have been having -- usually I dream elaborate things at most every few days or weeks, and only remember them when I'm well rested. After an infusion I have shitty sleep some nights but every time I wake up, it's from an intense and detailed dream. Not generally bad dreams -- apparently fever dreaming is usually stressful, so I'm not sure it's that (though I've had a lot of overheating at night too, so maybe).

It's Friend's last #chemo sesh. Now he has to wait for some sort of scan and an appointment with his oncologist. I asked him for a #soundtrack to match how he feels.

He went with I Put a Spell on You by Nina Simone. I think he's, y'know, feeling good? (Ba-dum tsk)

Has anyone else experienced supply chain issues with their chemo treatments? I was getting 5FU via infusion every two weeks, but there is a nationwide shortage of it, so my oncologist suggested switching over to pill substitute. Today is 6th and last round of #chemo for my friend. What a journey it was, they have gone through so much. Will drop them off now and pick them up in the afternoon, hoping there's no more complications during their procedures 🤞 take care people, being well is precious x

TEN YEARS AGO TODAY, I had to rush my mother to the hospital just hours after her third round of #chemo.

Three days later, the hospital caused a collapsed lung. A week after that, cardiac arrest left her a vegetable (where she lingered for the next 9 months before she died of a second heart attack.)
