Spent the afternoon in Japantown at the Cherry Blossom Festival. Last year, I wrote about these sell-out teriyaki burgers from the Kimochi tent. Funds raised from each purchase go toward helping the elder community. This year, I got to taste one and it was so delicious! Plus, mini cinnamon-sugar doughnuts, gyoza and lots of sunshine. BEES! (Look carefully!)
Living close enough to DC to revisit the cherry blossoms with the same monument backdrops, one eventually starts looking for new small things among the grand old ones.
This week I got to watch a bee swarm move into a new home over the course of ~20 minutes. Yhey were super chill, going about their important bee business, unbothered by a weirdo with a camera creeping in a few yards. Magical. Wish them luck.
