Another lighthouse on the #ChesapeakeBay
The Craighill Channel Lower Front Lighthouse. Love the history of these places. The outhouse is cantilevered on the outside. The numerals 1873, the year the light was first operational, is centered above the entrance on the north side of the lighthouse.

We found our first two #shark teeth today! Well, I found one, and a very kind stranger gifted the other to my son. Had a nice chat with the stranger about #beaches in the area, and I found out that she had just recently moved back here from #Denmark! A mixed story, but with a generally positive bent. Seagrass meadows off Chesapeake Bay in the US have seen a switch in dominance between eelgrass and widgeongrass. The widgeongrass is much less stable and not so effective at carbon capture, but it's quick expansion is better than nothing. And understanding the differences and how they interact in changing waters is very important, globally.
