Chessies (Chesapeake Bay Retrievers) are water loving dogs. Except this one. I adopted her thru rescue 4 years ago and she absolutely hates water in any form - creek, pond, lake, rain, snow, ice cubes, water guns, garden hose, kiddie pools and baths. So when I encourage her to go into the water, this is what she does - walks in just out of reach then stands there ignoring me as if to say "piss off". And that's OK with me - I wouldn't trade her for anything!❤️

@outdoorlife You nailed the Chesapeake Bay Retriever! Have had them for over 30 years & would have nothing else. Had an old hunter tell me years ago that Chessies are not not stubborn, they just have to agree with what you want them to do. And if they don't agree, they ain't doing it!
