1. #opensuse #tumbleweed and #nixos on my primary and experimental laptops
2. #chezmoi to synchronize dotfiles
3. #nix #packagemanager to manage command line utilities across distros with #homemanager
4.i. #kdeplasma + #lattedock + #touchegg preferred on #opensuse
4.ii. #i3wm on #nixos

Doing chezmoi update says everything uptodate, but it doesn't use a config file from my repo on my local machine...

I haven't been able to get #homemanager working yet (running #nix #packagemanager on #arch).. but I'm targeting something like:
- homemanager config to ensure git, cheznoi, etc are installed
- chezmoi to update dotfiles
From what I've heard, I won't need #chezmoi at all once I'm familiar enough with the #homemanager setup, but that's a steep learning curve, and not in the immediate future.

Now I need to figure out how to automatically remove the #fedora flathub repo and replace it with flathub, swap out as many default flatpaks as possible with the flathub version, and install firefox flathub flatpak.
Then unleash #chezmoi.
And a couple of 3rd party repos (tailscale) and rpms (mullvad).

It provides many features beyond symlinking or using a bare git repo including: templates (to handle small differences between machines), password manager support (to store your secrets securely), full file encryption (using gpg or age), and running scripts.
