Here's my hot take: the Yucatan in June is HOT.

Meltingly hot. Cauldron of fire hot.

So hot I wasn't sure if my heart was stuttering from awe or heat stroke.

Another bucket list item checked off in 2016. The crowds were thick, but the pyramid was worth it.

Chichen Itza. In 1996 people were still allowed to climb the steps of El Castillo. I didn't, the steps are shallow and steep and I don't like heights. This is my youngest daughter ditty bopping down those steps.
