Joining in #FensterFreitag with this photo of the Chagall window at Chichester cathedral which I took when I visited back in April. The window was designed by Marc Chagall and was unveiled in 1978, a visual representation of Psalm 150.

The 'hint of the absurd' was in Larkin's head, however. On the actual #ArundelTomb, in #ChichesterCathedral, the Earl's feet are clearly resting on a lion.
Larkin may have been ambiguous about love but it seems he was emphasising fidelity.
