I don't have any children and I'm happy with that.

Even if the future was bright, I wouldn't want to.
Even if I was healthier, I wouldn't want to.
Even if childcare was guaranteed, I wouldn't want to.
Even if I was wealthy, I wouldn't want to.
Even if the world's population was very small, I wouldn't want to.

There are no ifs that could make me want a child.

I don't want to go through pregnancy, childbirth or adoption.
I don't want to raise a baby, a small child or a teenager.
I don't look forward to having adult children coming to visit.

I believe that ideally children should come into this world wanted. Simply not wanting to, shouldn't that be reason enough?

Some really sad stories from people who were child-free by choice, but ended up having children for a variety of reasons; from coercion (even rape) and accidents to 'simple' regret.

As a child-free woman myself, my heart goes out to these people, as I have never regretted my choice for a single second.

We're staying in some lovely apartments on holiday. They're mostly one-bedroom and the communal pool is wonderful as there are no massive selfish families occupying six sunbeds with their towels from 6am (that are never actually occupying them). Apparently, towels are removed after a while by pool guards. Good. 😂
No screaming kids, peace and quiet.

Immer, wenn ich irgendwas zum "Enkelkindwunsch" lese, bin ich froh um meine Mutter. Nachdem mein Mann zu seiner Mutter übergangsweise den Kontakt abbrechen musste, weil sie mit dem Thema so genervt hat, hat meine es nach nur einer Ansage akzeptiert.
Und sagt inzwischen, sie bedauert ihre Freundinnen, die jetzt immer als Babysitter eingeplant werden.
