Volunteering in a small town is spending 8 hours, 2PM to 10PM at a booth at the fall fair and you see friends, family, say hi to random people and strike up conversations about community and climate and family and all the rest. Oh and you listen to Chilliwack on the Main Stage sounding a little rough but who cares. Tickets for all this were only $10.

Has anyone taken a #roadtrip before? Is it as fun as TV and movies make it seem? I want to drive to #Chilliwack to see one of my favourite bands some day, but I'd hate to hate it.

For #ThrowbackThursday I have this photo I made with a Kodak Instamatic 304 in 1982. I quite like the scene, especially since I was 7 at the time I made it. The fence post smack in the middle was a... bold choice, but I like the farm scene and mountains. I recently figured out where this was made - Ryder Lake near Chilliwack, BC. I have grown a bit since then, as has the foliage in this spot.
