Ah flip. Anyone know what this sound means? 🤔 (Please turn up sound on video)

Machine still starts up fine as far as I can tell without a drive, but this started happening not long after I'd tried a (possibly faulty) adapter for my SD2SCSI (I've got a proper cable coming instead now).

If it's not a fault noise, then it might mean the SND or 6522 ICs are damaged. I've already replaced the caps to that, no luck.

Okay, that's weird. I signed up for #Chime and was denied as well with the super polite message of "Sorry, we can not offer you our services after reviewing your information. You are not entitled to an explanation for this decision."

My house came with this doorbell, a mid-80s Friedland Maestro 'vibrato' unit, which had at the time been replaced with a wireless chime - as this one didn't work.

If I recall correctly, required cleaning carbon from the contact and some resetting of the 'points'. I also had to replace the exterior buttons, (now illuminated) and change out the transformer.

Either way, it works since! link has a video example of the chime.
