I’m running my first script in #ChimeraX. Does this mean I am a structural biologist now?
Hmm that's not good. Won’t try that option again!
I am still finding interesting things to do with protein #embeddings — now coloring #AlphaFold models by the 3-component UMAP reduction of the per-residue embedding. Look at those bright Phe residues in the disordered region — somehow #protT5 encodes them as "different" than the others.
In my experience so far these protein language models are uncannily able to highlight the same regions of the protein that I'm interested in already.

#chimerax experts, how can i keep image size constant? 2 different structures superimposed, saving .png of each (while hiding the other) so I can blend them in ppt. image size always self-adjusts and the structures are different size! even width/height command doesnt help. HELP!
@MirandaLynchPhD haha 😂I think you bring huge amounts of knowledge- no need for that course;) - it’s really to interest a few master students (German system, not yet signed up for grad school) from chemistry for biophysics and structure (we really started out from protein structure fundamentals… but I also introduced the #pdb #pymol #chimeraX in the first lecture, to make them explore protein structures along the way…
