Refreshing my #introduction for new folks!

I run #Chinwag and provide free and open communication tools for everyone.

I have #ADHD and a bunch of issues around #anxiety and a dash of #PTSD just for fun!

On the less serious side, I have been know to perform stand-up #comedy and do a fun quiz show with @ThePingMachine and my kid.

I'm an older guy and was a #BBS sysop back in the 90s. I was once described by a millennial as "like, 40 but not creepy at all."

@chinwagnews any known issues with #chinwag XMPP currently? Both Siiw and I are suddenly getting authentication failures when trying to sign in.

Can anyone else on our instance see people on the #chinwagDotOrg server?

Chinwag seemed to be a good #Australian #FediverseServer, but we haven't seen anyone from there for months.

We just want to know whether the admin of #Chinwag blocked us personally or blocked the entire activism #FediverseInstance.

If we remember correctly, Chinwag is administered from #PhillipIslandVIC.

Any help would be appreciated.

Understood. Something isn't sitting right, though.

Maybe we need to talk to other servers to try and identify what is going on here.

Our impression is that either other instances are blocking us for no good reason, or our server itself has been hacked/compomised in some way.

Sad... but that is our take. One example, come to think of it, we've not seen any Chinwag.org activity in months.

We can't spend time on a platform if we're being muzzled.

Very soon now we'll upgrade to the newest #Mastodon version which has some exciting changes for increasing content discovery for smaller instances.

The world is going to seem a little bigger in a day or so. Searching for tagged content will be more effective, and yours will be more likely to be found.
