On the way down to the park&ride, we made a detour via #AlbertaFalls, where the clear water from the mountains was rushing down between the rocks!
The #wildlife of the day were definitely #chipmunks ! We saw a lot of them crossing the trails, munching on stuff (and waiting for humans to drop something for them)!

With #midwest living comes midwest #PestControl! And the biggest and most obvious pest we need to control is the adorable #chipmunks which abound in our neighborhood. 🐿️
We cannot bring ourselves to actually kill them, so we've been using catch-and-release traps to relocate them to a nearby (but not *too* nearby) park. The chipmunks can live out their lives -- far away from our produce. 🍓 🍅 🍆
In the past 2 weeks I've caught 8 chipmunks so far.
My chipmunk relocation efforts have led me to **3** different styles of humane chipmunk traps. Which now has me feeling like I'm a chipmunk trap expert? Not a thing I ever wanted or expected to be.
I will probably post follow-ups to this post with my thoughts on each type of trap, so at least this knowledge won't go to waste. 😂

I feed these crows so they're pretty well fed and that hawk is likely not as well fed. The chipmunks and the squirrels are something I feed regularly, so I don't want the hawk eating my chipmunks, so I'm technically on the crows side. I got nothing against hawks really. Just don't want them eating my little Miss Prim.

The latest lecture was about how Regency England didn't have #chipmunks; and how cream delivered in a "pitcher" rather than in a jug for afternoon tea was hugely overestimating the teacup size.
I wonder how the lecturer would react to the proposal that authors use #ChatGPT et al. to churn out bad Regency historical fiction novels, no doubt trained on existing Regency pulp fiction, by the tonne?
