I would just strongly encourage people using these group systems to choose usernames that make it clear that they are a group and not a single user.

The normal expectation is that citing a username/handle is communicating with an individual actor. It can cause trouble when these go against that norm.

I wish this had been implemented within the protocol or UIs themselves, but until that happens...

#ActivityPub, #Mastodon, #aguppe, and #chirpsocial users should be careful.
