In that campaign, she asserted herself as the first Black candidate to run for a major party nomination, and the first woman to run for the Democratic nomination. Although she is best remembered for the cultural impact of her congressional and presidential campaigns, the causes and reforms she championed along the way are just as important."

Ontario has many old mills and other remnants of pioneer times. I started exploring some of these during covid when social distancing became a thing. Here's the Chisholm Mill, a water-powered lumber mill on the Moira River in Tyendinaga township in operation since 1857.

Dominique Murphy www.dominiquemurphyindependent.net has policies that include transphobia (“Protecting the Integrity of Women’s Sports”), anti-vaccine-mandate feels (“Protecting Freedom of Health, Speech […], Assembly”), and anti-globalist intention (“Withdrawal from the United Nations”). She also supports an Indigenous Voice to Parliament and (it’s a bit vague) a standing militia.
