Afternoon, Toots! A fairly warm day here. Our #choko vine is flourishing, and we have picked the first choko of many! (I’m sure I won’t be as excited by the hundredth choko.) Mum and Dad remember eating these boiled and served in white sauce. They were a big Depression era and 1950s food. In New Orleans, these are called #merlitons, served stuffed with seafood. In Mexico, #chayote. In China, two heart melon, stir fried.
