For #ThinSectionThursday, this is the Faith #meteorite. Faith is a H5 chondrite that was recovered from a Perkins County South Dakota farm in 1952.
The photo (first image) shows a textbook barred olivine #chondrule. I was so enthralled with this perfect chondrule that I decided to paint it (second image).
