2. To cool it down in the hope it will end It's broodiness.

With heavy heart and faint hope I've listed my boy on *Gumtree for sale. 😥 "Handsome Exchequer Leghorn Cockerel".

He still comes to me to be picked up, cuddled and put to bed when the sun goes down.

I don't understand why a barking dog is okay for a pet but a rooster isn't.

38°C here in #Adelaide Sth Australia and I'm keeping the girls cool with a misting spray. It wets the leaves of the shrubs which work like an evaporative air conditioner, making a pool of cool air. Water dripping off the leaves is nice and cool for the hens to drink.

I've got a cockerel I raised by mistake. He's frightened of the hens so he's got his own bachelor pad where he spends the night.

The hens have decided this is where they want to lay their eggs! 😂

When I open up his coop to let him out in the morning, an impatient hen will barge in and sit down and frighten the daylights out of him. He comes rocketing out like a cannon ball! 😂😂😂
