It later became a bigger hit in versions by #Cannibal_TheHeadhunters and #WilsonPickett. A version by #TheeMidniters reached number 27 in Canada on March 22, 1965. The song references a number of dance styles/moves including #theTwist, the Alligator, #theMashedPotato, #theWatusi and #thePony.
