Out of pure interest I am watching a video series on the Restoration Movement in America,
Many good christian groups, including the "Plymouth" brethren and the Evangelical Free Church of America came out of movements of the Holy Spirits leading me to re-examine their Bibles, especially in how the New Testament church met and practiced.

Traditional names for this woman in the gospel include Φερονίκη or Veronica or Bernice. In #EasternOrthodoxy her feast day is today! It is said that after she was healed she made a statue of Jesus and then she became one on the earliest members of the #ChristianChurch

I think the #ChristianChurch in the United States needs an overhaul. I know I'm not alone in that thought, but on my drive home today I was thinking about church or (or temple for Jews at the time of Jesus) and fellowship for #WesternChristianity are one in the same, but I don't think they always have been. During most of history, people in a community were well known by each other. Now, we have such large communities it's easy for people to get lost.
So...What then is the purpose of church? 1/2
