The world is arguably in the midst of multiple, ongoing, concurrent, existential crises. The most obvious ones are #COVID, #ClimateChange, the #TransGenocide, and the resurgence of #ChristianWhiteSupremacy. 1/3

It’s mid-January and over 100 queer-phobic bills have already been proposed this year. We need would-be allies to step it up. Practice gender-neutral language when you don’t know somebody, talk about your own queer identity wherever it’s safe to do that, creatively work around anti-trans legislation if it gets passed.
Don’t let “perfect” keep you from doingwhat you can. History doesn’t have to repeat itself. Our future might just be bright.

They can compare notes and see you are picking insane examples from all sides, so you won't be talking about, say, the people at their compound.

My wife retired from #SPED in 2008, well before the worst of this.

Up to then, almost every time #sexualabuse was discussed, they would get one or two disclosures.

Sexual abuse & #violence is a huge part of #ChristianWhiteSupremacy (#quiverfull, #Dominionist ,etc).

These are burgeoning movements, deeply entangled with #MAGA.
