It's that time of year again. Pulling out extension cords and timers and lights that should have been tossed last yr. Had a scare this evening plugged in a light timer from last yr, after about 10 mins I hear pops , buzz and see smoke coming from the timer. Nothing plugged into it. Just shorted out unloaded. Be careful my friends. It did have a symptom, program display was dead Toss old suspicious gear before it flames out on you

Screw it, broke down and ordered a LightKeeper Pro repair tool...f'ing pre-lit Christmas trees cost too much to deal with bad light chains.
