A pair of very charming stop-motion #ChristmasSpecials suitable for the youngest ages. Also cynically crafted by #Hallmark to sell stuffed animals, books, and ornaments!

Also logging the book Jingle and Bell’s Christmas Star by #DeborahWelkyMiles who has probably never been hashtagged before!! - which covers the back half of the second special and which makes the stuffed dogs yell at you while you read. My kid loves it.

Why does it seem that, at least in the case of #CallTheMidwife, #British #TV #ChristmasSpecials have absolutely nothing to do with #Christmas? Like, they happen maybe at Christmas, or they begin or end at Christmas, but otherwise, it's just an excuse to tell a #serious or #sadder story. Almost like #American TV #VerySpecialEpisodes.

Always behind on the things I want to be watching on TV, but last night I finished S1 of Andor--such a great show! Star Wars for grownups! Also, I watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Xmas Special, which was a ton of fun--the exact opposite on the scale of seriousness.
