Today is the #TransDayOfRemembrance and it's also #ChristTheKing Sunday. It's worth pointing out on these coinciding days that Christians who don't affirm the right of their trans siblings to live fully as themselves are rejecting God's creation.

Sunday’s #ImageOfTheDay on the Feast of #ChristTheKing.
Epstein’s “Ecce Homo” was carved in 1934-5 & stands in the ruins of the old #CoventryCathedral. In St John’s Gospel, it is with the words “Behold the Man” that Pilate presents Jesus to the crowd prior to his crucifixion. “Although his hands are held by a rope, the arms across the chest are defiant, the jaw strong, and the eyes look beyond the horizon of this world. This is an undefeated Christ, do the world what it may” (R Harries).

We will then go back into our lives, living like nothing could be further from the truth.
Kierkegaard didn't have much interest in politics. He once wrote about revolution, "So the king flees—and so there is a republic...Piffle.”
I've always judged this harshly, but I wonder if he didn't have a point.
