All #ChromeDevices launching in 2020 and beyond will receive automatic updates directly from #Google for at least 8 years since the device platform release.
I wish that was the norm with phones, TVs and other electronics as well.
Longer warranty, support and SW updates especially should be the subject of next big round of legislative push around the world.

@baldur @ratamacue I've used dozens of different #ChromeDevices and they are usually pretty stable unless I have tens of resource-intensive tabs (Gmail, Google Docs...) opened for ~week.
Though I usually have Play Store completely disabled since its implementation is still a joke. Plus it's a proprietary platform, clutters the UX...
But I haven't heard of this from deployments I've worked on nor community discussion on Reddit etc. Maybe it's a specific Android app? Have you tried powerwash?

So the most annoying websites bugging with request for push notifications you've blocked from asking again are now prominently displayed as disabled among intentionally installed apps and push-allowed webapps in Chrome OS 70 settings tray... What a way to encourage bad behaviour. :(
