Before getting into FFXIV, I wanted to feel like I'd progressed _something_. So I took an outline pencil sketch I had for a weapon for my own fantasy writing and started to digitally draw/paint it.

I'm only 1hr in so far, so this is exceedingly rough and my #Fibromyalgia causes me hand pain too, so doing anything with a steady hand is...challenging. :blobcatthinking2:

#WorldAnvil had to remind me I had, in fact, achieved a "badge" for their Summer Camp challenge. I thought "bronze" was the lowest, but "copper" is.

After a chaotic week both in my head and outside of it, I chilled and wrote a #WorldAnvil Summer Camp prompt: A tradition/ritual that signified a transition.

So this is the Grànormii Festival, a Qalathian new-year party and ceremony. It used to signify unity between nations. Now its citizens try to reclaim some unity within the Realm.

It's been a mixed bag of a day which is why I've only just made it to this point. We're still all down with the bug, but I wanted to clear anything that looked like "work" so the weekend can be rest, creativity and recovery.

I've just started my attempt at #WorldAnvil's Summer Camp. This is a series of challenges, to write content based on pre-set "prompts".

This one is an "important title", so I look at: Evaluators.

The plus side of not feeling like moving but not wanting to make much heat either is that I progressed my fantasy map for my #writing.

I've been so tired from the blog and housework I've not had the imagination to actually write. But, in this way, I've still been able to get into my world, even if it's for something basic.

Just quickly sharing this then closing Mastodon.

With the recent furore over #AIart - justified furore I hasten to add - I've only used one such system for the shape and contours of the gem, here. It's a concept of my Crystal of Air for the #ChroniclesOfQalath.

The rest is based on free images and my own editing, changes, glossing etc.

I tried doing one completely without AI, but I couldn't create the effect I wanted. I will learn though. Artists should be paid by AI platforms.
