Urgh, I'm facing off against the final boss in #ChronosBeforeTheAshes and, once again, lousy performance and questionable hitboxes are taking a massive toll on me.
Honestly, don't play this game on Switch. The game itself is ok, although combat is a bit on the simplistic side, but the Switch version needs more love (which the developer and/or publisher are obviously not interested in providing).
The third and final guardian in #ChronosBeforeTheAshes is such an infuriating experience. Slow performance on the Switch, wonky hitboxes, and massive boss movements that your character can barely dodge make for a super annoying fight where dying does not feel fair at all.
Yeah, performance is pretty bad, the game looks like it runs at ~25 fps at best, which sometimes makes combat tough because the game kind of stutters.
If you're able to push through that, the core gameplay is good, with a very contained scope (there's not a ton of build configuration, and levels are very linear).
Well, I just finished #MortalShell. The combat I initially labelled as tedious kind of grows on you. Aesthetically impressive, very short, but good sensations in the end. I only wish they had done something different with Fallgrim because it's the nexus area but, at the same time, it's the most confusing of them all, with plenty of corridors all looking the same.
Next on my plate, #ChronosBeforeTheAshes if my copy gets delivered on time 😁
