On a trip to Chumphon last year, we found a spot outside the town that the butterflies loved, and I am so glad we did. There were so many varieties of butterfly, and probably thousands of each.

I spent quite a bit of time taking photos, and managed to get a lot of shots I was happy with. Some of the butterflies here are fast fliers and stop very briefly, so are nearly impossible to catch.

Residents are up in arms about a motorway services station and rest area that has been abandoned on the Thailand #RivieraRoad in the southern province of #Chumphon.
The Riviera Road was part of a government project in 2009 which tried to level up the coast of the southern provinces of #Thailand and make it a must-visit destination for tourists across the world, just like the #FrenchRiviera and #ItalianRiviera.
