I knew Jana slightly when I was a ThM student at #Princeton Seminary; like me, she was studying for #Protestant #ministry. But instead, shortly afterwards, she found a spiritual home in the #Mormon #church. Life can take us to unexpected places!

As far as I can see, Bacon and Martin are raising important questions about what societies lose when they lose key institutions that are centered on building community and recognizing that we are all, churched or unchurched, across racial, age, gender, and all other lines, in it together. Healthy societies need such institutions. And churches have for many of us failed to be them.

The former Baptist Mission Church on Canal Street, Glasgow. It was built in a domestic style in 1898 for mission work in the Port Dundas area of the city. This continued until it closed in 1958. It's one of the few unlisted older buildings left standings in this area.

儘管不是信徒，我與伴侶仍做了彌撒。內有兩個大螢幕，在儀式時會播出聖經經文，給信徒跟著禱念。
觀光客非常多，但裡面在進行儀式時，仍是大致維持秩序的，老幼信徒歡快但不狂躁。因人多而無法進門的信徒們，會在側門附近一起唱聖歌。
