“Right now, around 88 per cent of #Canadians report having a regular #HealthProvider, according to #CIHI. This data comes from surveys run between 2019 and 2021.
However, this varies widely across the country. The province or territory with the lowest percentage was #Nunavut, where just 24 per cent of respondents said they had a regular health provider. The highest percentage was #Ontario and #New Brunswick , where 90 per cent of respondents said they had a regular provider.”

“That's been particularly evident among nurses. While the number of nurses in most regions has gone up, the number of those actually working in certain health-care settings has dropped, #CIHI figures show.
There was a roughly two per cent decrease in the number of registered #nurses providing direct patient care in #LongTermCare homes between 2020 and 2021, for instance.”
