There are several desktop environments based on GTK besides GNOME, such as #Budgie, #Cinnamon, #LXDE, #MATE, #Unity, #XFCE. They are the standard for many operating system distributions.

GNOME Web can also be perfectly used on other desktops, such as those based on the Qt library (KDE, LXQt, Deepin etc). It's just that it takes advantage of already-loaded GTK libraries, saving resources and being more integrated with the rest of the system.

So I've been testing different #linux #Desktop environments... I think I'm a #gnome guy. I also like #cinnamon a lot.

I don't like #KDE, sorry T_T. Although I'm totally sure I would be a very big fanboy of it if I was younger.

Gnome is weird, very weird... but once it clicks with you its hard to change to another thing.

Cinnamon its just a simpler life, "sensible defaults" as the cool kids like to say these days. Not too much hassle and keep on keeping on.

Just had a very good but really sweet treat from a small local family bakery. I had a home made Maple Cinnamon and pecan sticky bun. This bun was quite big, probably at least 4 by 6 inches and about 3 inches thick. It was very very good, but just also really sweet. I always go back and forth between #Cinnamon and #GNOME
I can always find a few minor things I don't like about one of them.
I switched to Cinnamon because it's more customizable. But now I'm thinking about switching back to GNOME because Cinnamon is a bit buggy (I can't turn off notifications), it doesn't show battery percentage unless I click the icon, Flatpak theming of GTK apps is terrible, and the GNOME Activities is better than the Cinnamon equivalent.

Was mich extrem nervte, und wofür ich adhoc in n+1 #Gnome-Untermenü keine Lösung fand, war die Tatsache, dass ich mit Strg-Alt-T keine Konsole mehr bekam. Grundgütiger, warum machte sich bei GNOME jemand ernsthaft die Mühe, dieses Tastaturkürzel zu entfernen. Es war spät, ich recht pissig, also erstmal "goodbye Debian Gnome!"
#MATE versucht: Hmm, das wirkte jetzt im direkten Vergleich aber seeehr "altbacken", also erstmal nicht. Kommen wir zu #CINNAMON, und dann ich gleich LDME testen:

Bon ok, j'ai besoin d'aide.
Sur mon pc portable sous linux mint, j'ai fais des mises à jour mais maintenant je me retrouve avec ça à chaque démarrage.
Sachant que j'ai juste fait une mise à jour de linux (mint 21.2 désormais) et des programmes, que je n'ai rien installé comme extension ou autre à Cinnamon, vous pourriez m'aiguiller vers une solution ?
