On 17th July '23 I saw the best #CircumzenithalArc I've ever seen! There was also a faint hint of a #SupralateralArc which showed up on colour subtracted images. The 1st image has the top of a #22DegreeHalo. Taken from #NorthOxfordshire #AtmosphericOptics #OpticalEffects

Clouds cleared off for a while this morning leaving just enough ice in the atmosphere to put on a show! I saw a rainbow reflected in multiple car windows and at first thought it was some kind of interplay between sunlight and automotive glass. Then I looked up and saw the brilliant circumzenithal arc high overhead!
