Aber vielleicht sollte ich nicht zu laut schimpfen, in meiner eigenen Verwandtschaft gibt's auch jemanden, der darüber "nachdenkt", #faschistisch zu wählen. Weil er seine #Privilegien (#weiß, #cishetero Mann) gefährdet sieht...

i've been told, and read elsewhere, that it isn't appropriate for me, as a #cishetero person to call myself a #TransAlly

i get the intention behind this. it centers me. it ought to be up to trans people to declare who their allies are. there are many other valid reasons I agree with this concept

at the same time, i'd like to walk around town with "trans ally' in large letters on the back of my jacket as a statement directed towards other cishetero people, and more importantly, to let the #transphobes know where i stand

is there a sensitive/tactful/responsible way to do something like this?

maybe just a trans flag, or trans colors? but then I don't want anyone to think i'm trying to pass
