A very windy walk today took me around #Cissbury Ring, an iron age hill fort containing neolithic flint mines. New Forest Ponies free roam to manage the vegetation. The town in the distance is #Worthing, in #Sussex.

A bit of gorse (Ulex europaeus) on Cissbury Ring in Sussex - the only thing I saw in flower on the whole walk. A bit late for #WildFlowerHour because I am not yet recovered from yesterday’s carbonated wines. #Gorse #Cissbury
