I love that #BlueBikes has a 24hr pass for $10 w/ unlimited 2 hour rides. Amtrak charges $20 (each way) to bring a bike, so doing #bikeshare makes a lot more sense.

Meanwhile, #Citibike's 24hr pass is twice as expensive ($19) and only allows 30min rides. :(

I really do love the new electric #Citibike

Needed to get end to end of #Manhattan #nyc to pick up kiddo from prom, Did the 16 mile trip in an hour - 2/3 the time of taking public transit -all with great views of the Hudson and NY Harbor with the best, post thunderstorm fresh air weather possible. And arrived feeling refreshed like after a brisk walk.

#BikeNYC #NYC #bike folks -- I want to do some decent, cogent data analysis on bike uptake in my non-central-business-district neighborhood.

I wanted to start with #CitiBike data, but it looks like two years ago, Citi removed some pretty critical info -- namely the bike ID, the birth year, and the gender (optional) of the user. My area didn't get citibike until after citi dropped this extra info.

Can I get it elsewhere?

Is Lyft still NYC OpenData compliant? Feeling hamstrung... help anyone?

#Lyft is raising prices on #CitiBike for the second time in a year.

This speaks to how little it makes sense that NYC's micromobility space is so tied to Lyft's business outcomes.

NYC needs a unified micromobility plan for the region that includes subsidies for Citi Bike so more people use it. Having more transit options is crucial at a time when the #MTA is facing service cuts.

@vinceth interesting thesis about #nycbike #citibike rollout and #airpollution. Steve Chillrud & colleagues have been looking at bikes and pollution for awhile— interact w/them? Thoughts: was it the citibike rollout or (sometimes) coincident bike lane development? The Bronx lags in CB stands. Where would new ones best improve AQ? The community gets to vote (not decide) on stand locations — Did DOT choose correctly, or did they ignore/listen to community input to the detriment (benefit) of AQ?

If #ForestHills had #BikeShare, I'd happily use it instead of my own personal #bike. My personal (non-cargo) bike gets used about once per month, so the tires are always under inflated when I need it.

Alas, no plans for #expansion despite there being an obvious path along the #QueensBlvdPBL.
