Also need to on very good terms with your pharmacist, and ask the question on all prescriptions. Many, many drugs (incl OTC) contain #CitricAcid . I got this lesson when antihistamines made my eczema worse, while easing hayfever #Irony

Interesting to hear about the same allergy in my list of food avoidances. I also need to be careful of #CitricAcid in body care products too.
Is your son also allergic to penicillin? Mine is related, along with bread mould, white wine etc.
It took my son a few years of scoffing at my food limitations to realise he is also sensitive. Last time he had citric acid when on the road, over 4 months ago, it set up eczema he still struggles with, having been clear for quite a while.
