For the next few years nothing will be built outside my side of the building. Pretty much a clear view of the sky. I've seen balconies with satellite dishes (not our building). I wonder if I could do the same. Is it worth getting #Starlink hardware? No 2-year contract (unlike fiber, cable) is what I like about it. But the hardware is really pricey.
Just wondering.

Luckily we have a friend a couple of blocks away who she can visit to charge her phone, otherwise she has no phone charge or money/credit card with her! Good we know someone local.

Once, a friend and I were sitting in a park at dusk, just talking, when a rat vaulted itself out of the bush behind us, landed on my foot, and then scampered off into the night. A second later, a cat came tearing out of the bush after it.
I immediately went home and showered and scrubbed my foot, but it was a moment I'll never forget.

Then the rat ran within an inch of my feet to hide under a fence and we all laughed at it, and it was just this weird, grimy and beautiful moment that we all shared together. Then we all went our separate ways.
It's something odd to feel connected about, but honestly, when stuff like this happens, I love my city so much.
