Today's #CityofGoldCoast #Council meeting was very frustrating to watch, with some representatives completely misunderstanding the situation, arguing amongst themselves, getting upset, grandstanding and spending hours and hours going over seriously old declarations of interest. Get some auto text set and get the f*ck on with the business at hand. The #AcknowledgementofCountry which was stated as being voted on today - wasn't. As for the prayer, it continued in it's stumbling way.

Watching the #CityofGoldCoast meeting today in particular the proposed #Springbrook #Cableway is clear evidence of just how dim some of our Councillors are. You could say terribly confused or just plain stupid. #GoldCoast The #Instagram model and the speed talker from the bush for example.

Improve communication with the public as to why things are the way they are and applied. Don't just rely on a webpage that no-one reads.

Develop broadcast opportunities to publish details eg. parking regulation, licensing fees, the need for Local Laws, footpaths etc.
Currently there is no capable spokesperson managing to do so, set up spots on Youtube, Facebook with someone who is talented on-camera and able to communicate clearly.
