If you ask me a sensible partition would be metropolitan, driven not by red and blue but by the far more enduring city and hinterland. Not a quick fix for polarization, but unlike the quick fix it's the sort of solution that could keep paying off for centuries to come.

I'm working on a map I've created of #Culebra, #Puerto Rico. Here is a town that I've grown around the harbor in Dewey.
The inlet is somewhat protected and used for a ferry stop between outlying islands and into the larger bay.
My city is a population center in some alternate universe in which Culebra grows into a populous and prosperous #citystate that rules itself independently of the larger island of Puerto Rico.
