I just won my first game of #Civ6! in 15ish hours?

I played on all standard settings, as Rome, and won by Diplomacy (while also leading in Domination) Really fun :)

I managed to win on the very last turn in the Dark Ages, which gave me some cool achievements.

I love it when I *finally* play a game from my backlog and absolutely love it. GGs.

1,032 words written today. Brain is asking for a break. Time for some Civ 6.

A surprise update for #Civ6 has been released. The most important change from this update is that the Leader Pass leaders are now available on console, the abilities of some leaders get an overhaul (Julius Caesar, Wu Zetian, Harald Hadrada (Varangian), Abraham Lincoln), and the new leaders also get achievements. In addition to this we also get some minor fixes.

I decided to stay up to 4am last night playing #Civ6 instead of #Running this morning.

Well "decided" isn't quite right. I couldn't stop taking one more turn in my quest to domination victory (accidently won a religious victory) because Alexander was my religion and had medieval walls everywhere and was a slow slog.

I'm quite happy with how it's turning out :D I don't think there is a civ6 earth map yet that shows both poles and so many islands.

I really want this map to be a tribute to our beautiful planet and our diversity :D

Many players have requested an Earth map from me but you know there are already so many. So I decided I didn't want to make an Earth map unless it can offer something new.

The moment I saw a world map in the Atlantis projection I knew it'd be perfect for my project. I especially love how you can sail from South America / South Africa to Antarctica and then Australia when world wrap is on :)

I might not post here every day but I am usually all up in your mentions talking nonsense, so you might wonder what has become of me lately?

Well, I went on a cruise around (mostly) Greece, had no internet at all with which to pester you, and it was awesome and now I'm half a stone heavier and very sad to be home.

Took my Steam Deck though, definitely would recommend. If anyone has advice on a culture victory in #Civ6 I have no idea what I'm doing.

Right now it's a bit silent, because #Civ6 isn't exactly new anymore.
