GameRant has recently published a series of articles somewhat related to #Civ7, but one of the authors over there has now proposed something a bit more interesting: Civ7 should have a campaign mode, with dedicated goals and stories for each leader and civilization. They refer to other series like Age of Empires or the Anno series, who obviously do things differently than Civ, and then talk about the good work which has been done in Civ with various scenarios.

@slaggymcwaggy do your Steam stats also agree with you?
We're btw not entirely sure if it's really #Civ7. Some people argue that it must be another title, because they would have said Civ7 if it was.
And ... well... could be, hard to say.
Since it's popping up on the local time line: #10GamesToKnowMe
And we'll do the most reasonable thing we can do:
- #Civ1
- #Colonization
- #Civ2
- #AlphaCentauri
- #Civ3
- #Civ4
- #Civ5
- #BeyondEarth
- #Civ6
- #Civ7
Because this is the best list, obviously.

@Glatorius Thanks for the welcome :).
Hopefully the next civ game, no matter if #Civ7 or not, will motivate you to have a look again ;).
I think there's a lot of people that are concerned that one very possible way #civ7 could underwhelm is adding too many mechanics and getting in over their heads. Kinda similar to how #civ5 players didn't all make the jump to #Civ6. I'm hoping they take the best of 6 and hone what's already there. From there, let's add new mechanics in the expansions, and then we'll get those optimized in 8 (and so on) #civ
