Beginning Jan. 1 in California, some #cjreform progress. No more arrests for jaywalking and loitering, and rape kit DNA can not be used to check victims for potential involvement in unrelated crimes. In July, many people with criminal records for all but the most serious of crimes will have options for having them sealed. ( Full disclosure— I was once threatened with arrest for jaywalking.)
