Has anyone put out a Russian oligarch mod for #CK2 or #CK3?

最近は熱心に更新してないけど、以前には #CK2 本編に日本文化を追加するMODを作ったりしていた。シナリオサブMODも付けると、阿倍仲麻呂(769年)と源義経(1187年)でゲームを開始できるように。なお、CK3にはすでに他の方の製作した日本文化MODがあるので移植予定は無し。

自己紹介ですが、ここ数年はCK2の日本史MOD"Nova Monumenta Iaponiae Historica"(NMIH)の開発に参加しています。
最近は、通字による命名を再現するシステムの整備を行っていて、通字を変えたり、分家した息子に新しい通字を与えたりするのも可能になる予定です。果たしてこんなゲームが今まであっただろうか… #CK2 #NMIH

A videogame I play has a file with a list of medieval names in it - 00_cultures.txt - dunno how much help it is or how accurate.

If you're into grand strategy or dynastic videogames they're a fun bunch to play in Crusader Kings 2. Lot of naval holdings mean you can take a fleet and do something very ahistorical leading to some very funny looking maps.

Sea people all over again.

New #ck2 achievement: "I Do Not Play Chess". As the execution mechanic counts towards a character's kills this really is more a test of a player's tolerance for tedium since a save before a tyrannical mass arrest & execution is straightforward, with Task Manager to shut the program making it harmless in iron man.

I expect to get "History is in my Blood" on succession too. At king tier with good diplomacy & join court bribes getting 5 bloodlines is easy enough.

Also Bring It On (Bloodline stacking means I've already got killer personal combat stats in the dynasty).

Finally Empressive (delaying becoming an empire another ~40 years until basically a lot of Ireland and all of England and Wales has de jure drifted into Breizh, see how titular kingdoms works).

Okay so question. I have most of the DLC for #CK2 and about a hundred hours and change in it. Is it worth it to spend money to jump into #CK3? It's a very pretty game, and with the TIP Vol. 2 overhaul mod looks like it could be fun.

Or should I stick with everything I already have?

Kind of want to walk this back. Played #CK3 a bit, and really am enjoying it so far. It’s core, outside of maybe the UI, is clearly better in most ways than #CK2. I think I made the mistake of listening to the loudest group. The group that optimizes the fun out of the game.

I found a Forgotten Realms conversion for Crusader Kings II, which is going to suck several thousand hours out of my life.

The problem will be trying to decide to play the FR mod as it has been built or mod the mod to add in elements of my own #RPG setting.

The answer, as always, will be that I'll end up endlessly tinkering with the setting. I love to mod games at least as much as I like to play them. Probably more.

I really don't know what to think of Paradox games anymore. I love games like #CK2 #EU4 and even #HOI4 but their um... seeming commitment towards a 10-year lifespan is really hurting the quality of their games. Waiting years after release for a game to "get good" was acceptable when they were a small company. Now they should honestly be embarrassed.
