There's nothing wrong with people rising concern about person conduct, and appealing to community.

Call it dogpiling, call it #NAFO, call it #clapbacks — it is good. It's positive. It works.

Making racists, homophobes, colonisers uncomfortable is desirable thing.

On #Twitter one of my most consistent thoughts, such that it became something of a mantra, was this:

Never trust an #edgelord.

There are a lot of people, especially in a social media environment as prone to antagonism and #clapbacks as Twitter, who just truly enjoy #transgression. And these people will co-opt any idea to commit them.
