I took my time with the #poetry reading through the #odes and #fragments a few times. The #lyricism is unsurpassed. I can only imagine what they must have sounded like, sung in #ClassicalGreek. Still, time now to relax and/or get my notes in order for second semester Greek. (Yes, I'm a mature-age student, why do you ask?)

One of the things I love about learning an ancient language is stumbling across a word in the dictionary and wondering at the context that apparently required it to exist.
Four days in on classical Greek and I find this word:
πολύαιγος - defined as "abounding in goats".
