I don't want to get into the black/white recognition issue as this has been widely discussed but rather into why the police uses Clearview AI, a company which was violating EU, UK and Australian privacy laws. Also techcrunch reported in 2020 that Clearview AI was banned from the US selling market. So I wonder why the US police is using it and under which law? Any US lawyers here who can explain that?
